The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. So this is the second update, because I'm awesome.
After a slightly disheartening start I have now actually finished a book so you know, that's pretty good. Not the one I was already reading though, because I'm a bit contrary, but I did finish a book in basically two days, so I'm pleased with that.
The weekend is coming up and I'm planning on finishing the book I'm already reading and another one (a quite short one) so I think that'll be good. I'll have read three books this week if I can finish that, and that's more than usual, so I'll be pleased with that.
The book I finished was Necromancing the Stone by Lish McBride and I thought it was pretty awesome. There are things in it that I feel like should bug me, switching views and going from first person in one chapter to third person in the next (not the same person). I don't care, the books are awesome, and I'm willing to let pretty much anything slide. I loves it.
