Top Ten Books I'm Looking Forward To In 2015

It's Tuesday again and another Top Ten Tuesday. This week the prompt is books I'm looking forward to in 2015. I don’t pay much attention to new books. Unless they’re in a series I follow, or I’ve relentlessly googled an author I like. So I couldn’t come up with 10, but here is what I did come up with. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish

Winter by Marissa Meyer
This is the last book in the Lunar Chronicles. It’s very exciting. This one is partly set on the moon as far as I know. It’s based on Snow White, and presumably it will wrap up the previous books and stories. Which is exciting. I really like the Lunar Chronicles. It’s not coming out until like the end of November, so that’s a drag, but still.

You Deserve a Drink by Mamrie Hart
So Mamrie Hart is the last of the Holy Trinity of YouTube to publish her book. It’s coming out in May, and it’s a memoir, about her life so far. It’s also going to feature drink recipes, which will be fun. I really love her channels, and she seems like she would be a lot of fun to hang out with, so I’m excited.

Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman
This is the Second book in the Seraphina series. I have no idea how long it’s meant to be, but this is the second one anyway. I really liked Seraphina, so I’m looking forward to Shadow Scale, I think it’ll be fun. Excited.

Fairest by Marissa Meyer
This is a sort of companion novel to the Lunar Chronicles mentioned earlier. It’s the story of Queen Levana, the evil queen of Luna, who I am assuming is the evil stepmom from Snow White. She uses her glamour to gain power on earth, but she has a story as well, of course. And this is that story, and I am most excited.

The Thorn of Emberlain by Scott Lynch
The Thorn of Emberlain is the fourth book in the Gentleman Bastards series, and unless Goodreads is lying to me it’ll come out in 2015. There’ll be more Jean and Locke, more intrigue, more civil war, more excitement and thievery, and awesomeness.

Sex Criminals: Two Worlds, One Cop by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky
I really got into graphic novels this year, and I’m looking forward to continuing that next year. I quite like reading them volume by volume and not just the issues as they come, so I’m looking forward to January, when Two Worlds, One Cop will be published.

Rat Queens: The Far Reaching Tentacles of N’rygoth by Kurtis J. Wiebe
Same for Rat Queens. Volume 2 comes out in February. It’s an awesome graphic novel series, badass beer swilling ladies who fight the bad guys, or good guys, or just fuck up their home town, depending on which day of the week it is. I love them.

Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances by Neil Gaiman

This is a new short fiction anthology by Neil Gaiman that’ll be coming out in February. That’ll be fun. I really like Gaiman’s short stories, so I am looking forward to that. I want to read more short stories, but I don’t know where to start, maybe Gaiman’s new anthology can give me a boost to start looking around for more.
